The Mitchell Institute Hosts the ROKAF

On August 6, the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies team hosted Brigadier General Woon-Kie Chae of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and a delegation of his senior leadership. The discussion focused on the importance of air superiority, the future of unmanned combat systems, and forward-looking strategies and capabilities.


Director of Research at the Mitchell Institute, Maj Gen Larry Stutzriem, USAF (Ret.), remarked, “We were honored to have an open engagement with Brigadier General Chae and his team about the future of USAF and ROKAF airpower and the criticality of preserving our ability to achieve air superiority over any adversary. These exchanges explore ways to address our shared challenges, promote better interoperability, and shape our forces to maintain regional security.”
