The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies is pleased to announce Shane Thin is joining our operations team as Digital Media Content Assistant. He will focus on developing strategies to enhance Mitchell Institute outreach through our website, webinars, and podcasts. While Mitchell Institute has always maintained an online presence, recent years have seen significant investment and focus in this area with the stand up of our Aerospace Nation webinar series, Aerospace Advantage podcast, new website, and active social media presence. Dedicated staff talent focused on this realm will see an already robust lineup grow to new heights.
As Mitchell Institute Dean Lt Gen Dave Deptula, USAF (ret) explained: “Our growing digital presence has transformed Mitchell Institute from a Washington DC-centric entity to one with a robust national, and even international, audience. It is particularly gratifying to visit Air Force and Space Force bases around the nation and to have young Airmen and Guardians talk about how they harness Mitchell Institute offerings. Shane joining our team will increase the scale and scope of these products.”
Shane graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2020. He is well-versed with various industry standard software for video and audio production, as well as digital music composition and graphic design. In his spare time, he pursues an interest in filmmaking.
