The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies is proud to announce the release of our new logo, a design that embraces the contributions both airpower and spacepower make to our nation’s security. We remain proud of our original logo’s connection to the era in which General Billy Mitchell served, but much has changed over the ensuing decades and it is time for a new image that embraces the realities of modern aerospace. What remains consistent is General Mitchell’s vision of presenting actors at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels better ways of securing their objectives by harnessing advantages inherent in global vigilance, global reach, and global power. Airpower and spacepower are fundamentally unique tools in that regard.
