On April 28, the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies team hosted Chief of the Singapore Air Force Maj Gen Kelvin Khong along with Air Force Command Chief ME6 Ng See Lye, Head of Air Operations Col Teo Soo Yeow, and other members of their delegation. The dialogue covered various perspectives regarding airpower operational concepts and technologies, along with a broader review of the global strategic environment.
The U.S. Air Force and RSAF enjoy a close partnership built upon years of joint training and exercises, reciprocal facilities agreements, and working together as guarantors of security in the Indo-Pacific. Almost 1,000 Singaporean personnel train in detachments at bases throughout the United States. The RSAF is also a future F-35 operator, a keystone platform that will enhance allied interoperability and effectiveness.
The Mitchell Institute’s Dean, Lt Gen Dave Deptula, USAF (Ret.), remarked, “We were honored to have the opportunity to host Maj Gen Kelvin Khong and his leadership team. Singapore stands as a key partner, and we look forward to continuing this dialogue.”
