This week we visit Colorado! The Rocky Mountain state has been incredibly influential to advancing American air and space power. 11 astronauts have come from Colorado, including Apollo 13 astronaut Jack Swigert. The state is also home to several Space Force facilities, including Buckley SFB, Schriever SFB, and Peterson SFB. On the air side, Colorado is the home of the U.S. Air Force Academy, which saw its first class enter in 1955. The current Colorado Springs campus open in 1958.
