Aidan Poling is a Senior Research Analyst at the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.

Background: Aidan recently completed his Master’s in Security Studies at the Georgetown University Security Studies Program. As a senior research analyst, Aidan supports Mitchell’s research on the future of air and space power. Prior to joining Mitchell, Aidan interned for the Atlantic Council’s Forward Defense Initiative, at the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control Verification and Compliance, Multilateral and Nuclear Affairs Office, and for several House Representatives and local municipal candidates.

Areas of focus: Space power and space warfighting, commercial space, military analysis and military effectiveness, great power competition.

Academic and professional titles: Mr. Poling received a BA in Government and History from Georgetown University in 2020. He received an MA in Security Studies from the Georgetown University Security Study’s Program in May 2023. He speaks intermediate Hungarian and Spanish.
