While EW capabilities present many opportunities to our National Security enterprise, too often, the defense community assumes that the critical technologies needed to exploit the spectrum will work as advertised, and that we’ll have all the tools necessary to achieve desired mission effects. In reality, there is a lot of work to be done. This panel brings together some of the key personalities working the EW/EMS superiority challenge to discuss what’s being done to ensure we put in place the strategy, doctrine, and capabilities that will be essential for mission success in future operating environments. Mr. Ken Dworkin (SES, Ret), Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Advisor for EW/EMS leads the session, followed by our exceptional panel, including Mr. Dave Tremper (SES), OUSD (A&S) Electronic Warfare Director; Brig Gen AnnMarie Anthony, Deputy Director, USSTRATCOM Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (J3E); Col William Young, PhD, incoming Commander, USAF 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing; Dr. Ilya Lipkin, Technical Lead, AFLCMC Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA); and Brig Gen David Abba, Director, USAF F-35 Integration Office. Lt Gen David Deptula, Dean of the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies moderates the roundtable and facilitates audience Q&A.
